With some help from their parents, the children also carried Shanti, our giant peace dove. Along with the children’s enthusiasm, Shanti attracted quite a bit of attention from the local media, and we were seen on at least one local TV news station.

DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MARCH FOR JUSTICE
Together with World Peace Roots & Shoots, we joined many other groups and individuals in a 2 mile march through Phoenix to 
celebrate the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The children carried a large banner they helped decorate, with the words Roots & Shoots on it, along with several peace symbols. With some help from their parents, the children also carried Shanti, our giant peace dove.
